D.G. Biddle & Associates Limited was formed in 1973 by Devon G. Biddle, and incorporated in 1974 to provide Consulting Engineering Services, principally in Civil Engineering. The company grew from an initial group of 3 employees to what it is today. Currently, the firm offers Consulting Engineering and Planning services in the land development industry, with a complement of approximately 45 employees including Professional Engineers, Planners, Technicians, administrative staff and field personnel . We specialize in Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Planning services for both private and public sector. The firm has extensive experience in all aspects of residential subdivision design which entails land use planning, municipal servicing, hydrology and design of hydraulic structures, flood plain and water resource management, as well as housing grading design. Our services extend from preliminary design to assumption of municipal services, including initial municipal contact, site design, construction administration and inspections. In addition to subdivision work, the company is also involved in site design for residential, institutional, industrial, or commercial projects. In the area of land use planning, we prepare subdivision and site plan designs, zoning by-law amendments, official plan amendment and site plan approval applications for projects. These are presented to planning and political bodies in the normal course pursuant to the Planning Act.
