The “scholarly practitioners” in this evidence-based practice “mediate between professional practice and the universe of scholarly, scientific, and academic knowledge and discourse” [Bentz and Shapiro 1998]. The above two discourses underpin Fourth Dimension’s engagement and approach to practice as a “laboratory” for generating empirical evidence-based knowledge and implementing projects that improve the outcomes of ‘coupled human‐natural systems’, including green and social infrastructure.
