Dabòn products were born out of our personal need to have delicious and satisfying foods available for breakfast, snacks, and small meals—foods that align with the principles of healthy eating, contribute beneficial nutrients to our diets, and support the results of demanding dietary regimens. Our goal is, in fact, to eat and offer you foods that are both tasty and healthy! All Dabòn products have a low glycemic index, officially certified through in vivo testing on healthy volunteers. This means they do not raise blood sugar (glucose) levels. Consuming these products helps keep blood glucose levels low without triggering the release of insulin—the hormone responsible for allowing cells to absorb and use glucose from the bloodstream. Insulin is a vital hormone involved in many physiological processes; however, elevated and prolonged levels of insulin in the bloodstream can cause serious harm to the body. One example: insulin promotes both growth and fat production (lipogenesis) for energy storage.
