DADADUM contemporary swiss furniture

Launched in 2012 by the graphic designer and entrepreneur Demian Conrad, the DADADUM brand was created in Switzerland, between Ticino, Grisons and the city of Lausanne. Out of respect for and in homage to the specificities inherent to Swiss design (functionality, technical expertise, minimalism), DADADUM is a clear continuation of Swiss heritage, a point underlined by the frequent allusions to alpine values and traditions: in this spirit, DADADUM strives to bring out the beauty of the chosen material, whether that be stone, wood or metal. DADADUM is a contemporary brand. For this reason, it draws on the talents of local designers who have made an international name for themselves and whose specifications are to re-establish the notion of Gute Forme (Good Design) as espoused by Max Bill. DADADUM is not looking to erase the heritage of our forefathers, but rather to offer a continuity of their thinking and their explorations. Innovation is the brand’s ambition. DADADUM is not aiming to revolutionise the world of design, but to create pieces of furniture which are adapted to the different ways in which we live today, furniture which is equally at home in an urban setting as in a mountain chalet; to appeal to a private clientele as well as offering the possibility of collaborations with institutions. Clearly, DADADUM is music, a rhythm capable of becoming part of everyone’s existence thanks to the excellence of its products. It is the symbol of a philosophy of “slow living”, where we take the time to live, where we seek to improve our day-to-day wellbeing. DADADUM was intended from the outset as a sustainable brand, both in terms of its design and its manufacture as well as in its aim to quickly become “part of the furniture”.
