The National Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainment (DADIU), founded on January 31, 2005, is a national network across universities, higher artistic education institutions, and other relevant educational institutions aimed at educating highly qualified candidates for the digital and interactive aspects of the entertainment and gaming industry. DADIU aims to promote research, innovation, and development within this field. The core of DADIU is interdisciplinary, production-based educational collaboration with close ties to the digital, interactive industry. The DADIU program is a full-time study for one semester.
The DADIU program is structured around one or more productions and teaching of individual competencies. Students collaborate across educational institutions. Teaching is provided by researchers, instructors, and professionals from the digital interactive industry. DADIU productions are organized around production teams working on the same principles as professional production teams. The DADIU program is part of various different educations. The teaching process is centrally managed, but the implementation is done locally based on the study regulations of the individual educations.
