The DAEDALOS project focuses on optimizing the connection between power system design, pre-operational planning, and real-time monitoring and control to effectively manage the stability of future power systems, including hybrid AC/DC and HVDC grids.
It aims to develop real-time algorithms and tools for optimal operation, addressing challenges like circular flows, frequency control, voltage regulation, and reactive power management. The project involves key stakeholders such as TSOs, DSOs, OEMs, policymakers, and energy producers.
Over 48 months, DAEDALOS will create advanced software tools for planning, operating, and monitoring these systems, with two demonstration sites in Aachen and Catalunya to test the technologies at TRL 6-7.
