Daffodil Support Services Ltd is a family run business based in Tewkesbury. It was started in 2014 by the current Managing Director, Vicki Hawker, who started as a care assistant herself in 2009 before working her way up to management within a large care agency. She wanted to make more of a difference, not just to the level of service provided to clients, but for the staff working to be better supported and appreciated, so she set up Daffodil Domestic Services in 2009, which became Daffodil Support Services Ltd in 2010.
The Daffodil Support Services team provides support to vulnerable and disabled individuals in and around Gloucestershire with day to day tasks like house work, shopping, supporting with meals and medication. They also do personal assistant duties including dealing with correspondence, clutter clearing, booking and supporting to attend appointments, making calls and problem solving. Some of our more varied tasks can include supporting people to pursue hobbies or access the community to combat loneliness (when Covid restrictions allow).
