Dakar Women's Group

The Dakar Women’s Group (DWG) is a 100% volunteer member and mainly an english speaking organization representing women from over 50 different countries. DWG has been running for 36 years. Initially created as a gathering for social and professional networking. It has grown to over 200 dedicated volunteers willing to improve the wellbeing of communities in and around Dakar. DWG focuses on social welfare, education, environment, women and children’s health, project development, entrepreneurship and the Arts. We distribute essential funding to small projects focused on social welfare. We also empower small businesses, entrepreneurs and artists to promote and sell their products through our Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fair. All while advocating for sustainability through environmental projects.
