An innovative, commercially driven scientist with over 18 years of active research and development experience in both industry and academia. With a BSc (Hons) in Marine Science and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Tracy is passionate about utilising untapped natural resources to promote sustainable solutions for commercial applications within medical, Pharma, Food, Cosmetic and industrial sectors. With active experience in developing medical and diagnostic devices, discovering novel compounds, and establishing bioprocesses from feasibility to commercialisation. Tracy has a proven track record in designing and developing complex multidisciplinary projects, aligning with key milestones through commercially driven KPIs, ensuring timely delivery of scientific applications to industry. As a qualified Biological Safety Practitioner with the Institute of Safety in Technology and Research, she is well-versed in multidisciplinary laboratory design, commissioning, regulation, and operation. Support and guidance can be provided within the following areas: - Scientific start-up technical strategy and design. - Process development from feasibility, through R&D, to viable product manufacture. Providing trouble shooting, process rigor, robustness and validation testing. - Project management, and experimental design and development to ensure reliable data generation. - All aspects of microbiology-based activities from handling Hazard Group II organisms to experimental design and data manipulation. - Immuno-assay, enzymatic experimental design, and protein-based research. - Laboratory design, establishment and commissioning, Including Level 2 microbiological containment laboratories. - Literature review and regulation screening. - Health and Safety document generation: SOPs, Risk Assessment and COSHH forms. - Guest lecture and student supervision within biotechnology.
