Diversité Artistique Montréal (DAM)

Depuis 2006, DAM a pour mission de promouvoir la présence des artistes et des organismes artistiques de la diversité culturelle dans le paysage artistique montréalais. Afin d’y parvenir, DAM prend position publiquement sur les sujets touchant les intérêts de ces artistes et organismes et offre une trousse de services visant à outiller ces derniers afin qu’ils réalisent leurs projets artistiques et/ou d’affaires. Trousse de services de DAM - Accompagnement en développement de projets artistiques : rencontres d’orientation et conseils - Outils d’introduction facilitant l’accès aux réseaux artistiques montréalais - Activités de réseautage et des ressources informatives sur l’actualité artistique montréalaise - Promotion des projets artistiques via les outils de communication (revue TicArtToc, infolettre, réseaux sociaux) DAM's mission is to: * Promote cultural diversity in the arts and culture; and * Maintain an active and critical watch over the policies and actions of arts and culture authorities. To accomplish this mission, the members of DAM have adopted the following objectives: * To foster closer relations between artists of diversity and Montreal's cultural institutions; * To build connections between artists through networking and mentoring; * To sensitize the cultural milieu to the systemic barriers present in the equitable development of artists and organizations of cultural diversity; * To promote the needs of these artists and organizations to governments, cultural promoters (public and private) and the media; * To encourage professional associations, cultural institutions and public bodies to diversify the composition of their members and personnel; * To encourage producers, presenters and broadcasters to diversify their programming, their casting and their public.
