Daniel Wilsher is a 24-year-old Public Speaker and owner of The Damaged Goods Co. LTD, an organisation formed with the purpose of raising awareness around mental health and the effects of childhood trauma across educational and corporate settings.
A series of adverse childhood experiences, including losing his father to suicide at the age of 9 years old, left Daniel with a long list of mental difficulties that manifested in secondary school. These difficulties would see him drop out of his dream university in thousands of pounds worth of debt battling alcohol abuse and drug addiction, enduring 4 years of depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.
After 13 years, 11 months of psychodynamic psychotherapy and medication, he would finally develop the skills and the tools to be able to communicate openly and honestly about his difficult emotions and his dad’s suicide. This newfound ability has meant his destructive behaviors and beliefs no longer served a purpose.
It's now his mission to help leave this world a little better than he found it. Through Public Speaking, personalised videos, webinars and written resources, Daniel is providing support to schools and corporate companies.
