Dander - de kracht van diversiteit

Dander wil een creatieve en gefundeerde bijdrage leveren aan sociale vraagstukken rond onderwijs, arbeid, zorg en welzijn. Wij werken daarin graag samen met individuen en organisaties die net als wij, inzetten op een (nóg) betere samenleving. Vaak werken we in opdracht van overheden, maatschappelijke organisaties, bedrijven en onderwijs- en zorginstellingen, maar we starten ook zelf projecten. De motor van onze werkzaamheden is diversiteit vóór je te laten werken. Uitgaand van overeenkomsten tussen mensen, gaan we verschillen in cultuur, opvattingen, etniciteit, gewoonten of geaardheid niet uit de weg. Dander weet wat bijdraagt aan de kracht van een organisatie, aan de resultaten op school of aan de leefbaarheid van de wijk. Dander ondersteunt om werk te maken van diversiteit, door advies te geven en projecten uit te voeren. ENGLISH: Dander sees diversity as a positive force. We have a clear view of when differences between people have the potential to be exciting/stimulating. At the same time we address situations when differences cause misunderstandings and difficulties. We help find solutions to let diversity become an advantage rather than an obstacle. We are passionate about bringing about social change with our partners. We use our insights of social sciences to do so. Dander develops and manages projects on diversity and social cohesion. Some examples of projects are: > seminars for professionals on sexual diversity at school in relation to cultural, ethnic and religious traditions > seminars for the police force on dealing with youth > development of a method to activate multicultural elderly citizens and reduce loneliness though training of social skills and contact with peers, neighbourhood residents and community activities. > development of a train-the-trainers programme aimed at teachers of multicultural classrooms
