We’ve worked with transportation agencies in the Washington National Capital Region for more than 30 years with an excellent track record. That makes us a versatile engineering service provider to our government clients. We are also a great asset to prime contractors looking to enter this region. Plus, we’re already approved by the local agencies as a DBE firm, with capabilities in environmental, traffic and transportation engineering.
Our company was founded by Mammen Daniel in 1982 with $3,000 and an office in his basement. Today our firm employs about 50 engineers, technicians, CAD operators, construction inspectors and administrative staff at our headquarters in Columbia, Md., as well as at our satellite offices in Baltimore, Md., Raleigh, N.C., and Bryn Mawr, Pa.
DCI’s broad capabilities in several service areas, allow us to be the go-to company for multifaceted and multidisciplinary projects as a one-stop shop. Or, we can be the subcontractor who is the final piece of the puzzle by bringing a particular subject matter expertise, such as GIS integration, ITS, work zone safety, travel forecasting, traffic emergency management plans and traffic incident management planning.
