Daniel Spargo-Mabbs was a bright, articulate and popular 16 year-old from Croydon with a great sense of humour and a huge zest for life. He died on 20 January 2014, having taken 0.5g of MDMA (ecstasy) at an illegal rave in west London a couple of days earlier. This wasn’t the kind of thing Daniel usually did.
