The Danish Ceramic Society (Dansk Keramisk Selskab, DAKS) is a Danish network of individuals, companies and research institutions interested in ceramic materials and processes. The society mainly deals with technical ceramics such as glasses, electro-ceramics, fuel cells, ceramic superconductors and catalysts. The purpose is to strengthen communication and collaboration between Danish industry and research.
The Danish Ceramic Society and all its members are also members of the European Ceramic Society and the International Comission on Glass.
We hold meetings approximately once per year, sometimes with specific pre-defined topics. Every year we also award a prize for the best PhD thesis related to ceramics in Denmark.
