The DARE fellowship brings Danish medical students to the San Francisco Bay Area for ten months to receive hands-on training in clinical research, closely mentored by internationally recognized clinical researchers at some of America's finest academic institutions. The program is a partnership between the Lundbeck Foundation and Innovation Centre Denmark, based in Silicon Valley at Innovation Centre Denmark — Danish medical students can jumpstart their careers in medical research and bio-entrepreneurship through this unique international partnership.
Based on a validated mentorship model, the program gives Danish medical students from the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and the University of Southern Denmark international experience, comprehensive clinical research training, and a highly supportive infrastructure enabling students to accomplish their research and career goals.
