The Darien Gap is the only land bridge between North and South America, yet it is not traversable by road. Similarly, the Americas, with limited exception is an economically fragmented region. We believe that the 21st Century will be a story of increasing regional integration throughout the Americas, and we seek accelerate this process by backing companies tackling the region's toughest problems. Darien Gap Ventures is led by Eric Schwartz, a fintech professional with a decade of experience. He was formerly the Head of Strategy of Covalto (formerly Credijusto) one of the largest fintechs in Mexico. Prior to joining Covalto, Eric helped build and lead the credit business at Payoneer (Nasdaq: PAYO), launching credit products in 14 countries and originating over $1B in loans.
