About DARN (Disability Advocacy and Research Network)

The Disability Advocacy and Research Network (DARN) is a remote, volunteer-based organization for individuals with disabilities and allies in academia. We welcome individuals at any stage in their career, including students. As an organization, we focus on building a stronger community, professional development, and mentoring. DARN defines disability broadly, such as, but not limited, to individuals with sensory, physical, mental, or medical conditions. Although not limited to any field, members of DARN tend to specialize in different subfields of psychology and/or disability studies.
