Development Action Society

Development Action Society (DAS) is a non-governmental organization established in 1989, to support and strengthen the capacity of marginalized women and children in the sub-urban disadvantaged population of five districts viz. Kolkata, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, Nadia and Burdwan. Since then, DAS has been working in the thematic areas of Education, Child Protection, Public Health, Livelihood and Women Empowerment. To fulfill the mission of the organization, DAS has entered into partnership for funding with several national and international agencies like MCC, TCF, SMILE Foundation, CAF, SUAS, SAVE THE CHILDREN, NCLP, SSM-Kolkata and WSRC.
