Dastak.Finance aims to help young professionals in STEM upskill their profiles for the next phase of their careers by providing financial assistance. We are currently developing an education financing and upskilling platform that aims to provide access to education and courses to over a million individuals over the next three years. Many of these individuals may be unable to afford certifications offered by MOOCs. Our approach to skilling, reskilling and upskilling involves building AI-powered career paths for individuals and providing alternate financing solutions to fund their skill development journey. Our parent company is a fully authorized and licensed lending entity under the Regulatory Sandbox framework of the SECP (Security and Exchange Commission Pakistan). Our status as a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) enables us to securitize loans through a Deferred Tuition and Membership Agreement (DTMA), which is agreed upon between the lender and lendee. The Secured Transaction Registry, which is operated by the SECP, allows financial institutions to allocate a charge on movable assets such as vehicles and houses as collateral for loans. For the first time, learners will be able to secure a study loan by collateralizing their income share agreement.
