Data For Good Norway is a friendly group of volunteers which aims at solving social and environmental issues using data. We are for example working on optimizing clean and sustainable food production, monitoring wildlife, or encouraging countries to ratify UN treaties.
Data For Good is young in Norway, but the movement is global, started years ago with DataKind which spread it worldwide. Inspired by our peers (DataKind, Data For Democracy, Data for Good Canada/France, ...), we aim at bringing together data and people to achieve social & environmental solutions to today's local and global challenges.
We use comprehensive and collaborative data-driven approaches that lead to shared insights, greater understanding, positive and quantifiable actions.
We grow our community by providing pedagogical workshops and long Datathons. This is collective intelligence in action!
We have the desire to stay at the forefront of technological innovation & positive social change in everything we do.
