Sharif Center for Information Systems and Data Science

Information systems and data science are expanding rapidly in the world, and aiming at boundaries of knowledge and technology in this field is essential in scientific, economic and social development in the coming decades. Along this path, "Sharif Information Systems and Data Science Research Center", as part of the Institute for Convergence Science and Technology, has been established to create synergy from top talents of Departments of Electrical Engineering, Mathematical Science and Computer Engineering in wide range of data science and information systems. Benefitting from research potentials of these three departments, in addition to expertise of other colleagues throughout the country and around the world, this center aims at addressing the fundamental needs of industry, policy makers, collaborators and other stakeholders to participate in leading edge research and development in this field. The goal is to become one of top centers in this field in the region in the coming decade and be able to engage top experts from all around the world in such joint endeavor.
