We are a group of business and information technology professionals who have come together to pursue a simple, compelling idea: create a marketplace for data, a place where data can be bought or sold or simply shared by anyone in flexible, relevant, and instantly usable formats. Datalette is the marketplace for data. A Datalette user may search a wealth of data (from the Datalette website itself) and download what he needs to his Excel spreadsheet with a click of a mouse. There is no need to retype the data. Furthermore, Datalette incorporates processes that allow downloaded data to retain a connection to its source, enabling one-click data updates from within the user's Excel spreadsheet. With Datalette, models and tables are no longer static artifacts of a particular moment in time, but living representations of a dynamic world, suitable to the demands of the information based economy of the 21st Century. By using Datalette, publishers gain access to a vastly expanded market of customers. They are also able to provide their data in a way that is much more readily usable by their customers and thus able to become more closely tied to their customer's data-driven needs.
