DataScience Oxford

DataScience Oxford is a non-profit group of over 900 datascientists in Oxford UK. Our members come from all types of organisation and from all sectors, united around one thing - the power of data. Here experts in marketing, finance, medicine, game design, exploration, politics and academia come together to discuss and explore methods, ideas, outcomes and opportunities. We are a practical group, moving beyond talks to workshops (both online and in person), all-day events and hands-on coding and analysis sessions. We run four key programmes: Develop the Datascientist - helping people deepen and widen their skills . DataScience Startup - Helping people develop new companies, products and apps with datascience at the core. Future DataScientist - Migrating people from other disciplines to datascience and helping people in computer science, stats, maths and similar to meet with practising datascientists. Social DataScientist - Helping harness Datascience for social good and giving datascientists new datasets and challenges to work with outside their jobs. We aim to make DataScience available to every organisation, through consultancy and products, apps and systems underpinned by datascience.
