The MICHAEL DATTA VINEYARDS - MDV story started off as one persons huge passion for wine and everything that went into making it. In 1998 Michael Datta Vineyards (MDV) was launched in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW and Eden Valley, South Australia. MDV purchased and co-owned vineyards from newly planted vines, to vineyards over 100 + years in age. From the first vintage in 2001, MDV has made premium handcrafted wines for private clients in Australia and internationally. 2010 saw Michael Datta launch MDV Wines & Private Cellars become involved in many aspects of the wine industry. To this day, MDV Wines & Private Cellars works closely with growers and winemakers across Australia and New Zealand, sharing their stories and wines with wine lovers across the globe. While also working with Private Wine Clients in sourcing exceptional wines for their Cellars in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Hong Kong.
