The David Corey Company is a full service housing and home modification company servicing the workers compensation and disability market. The David Corey Company system is designed to ensure compliance with medical necessity while adhering to the carrier’s corporate protocols. The system applies cost containment principles to ensure the carrier is not paying more for the modifications than what is reasonable and customary. The David Corey Company was founded by an Occupational Therapist who also had training in construction management and contractor networks. The unique combination of medical and structural knowledge is the foundation for the DCC model. The system ensures appropriate outcomes based on a clear understanding of functional and medical status applied to design and construction principles. Initial assessments are completed by trained Occupational Therapists. Reports with recommendations, photos and detailed drawings are submitted to the carrier. An agreement of scope is cooperatively established and submitted to CHAMP certified contractors. The estimate is reviewed in detail and if authorized, the work is given appropriate oversight to completion.
