I'm David "DP" Pineda, a disabled Army combat veteran and the founder of Veterans Network Champions Club (VNCC). I've walked the walk in service—New York Army National Guard, Ground Zero on 9/11, 12 years of active duty, and a deployment to Iraq. Post-military, I did a 12-year stint as a Senior Federal Air Marshal until my service-connected disabilities put me on the sidelines and I had to medically retire. After medical retirement left me wondering what the heck was next, life took an unexpected turn when I dove into the VA claims maze while supporting my wife, a fellow Army veteran. That experience sparked a fire in me to help other veterans cut through the red tape.
