Davis House Child Advocacy Center

Davis House Child Advocacy Center company information, Employees & Contact Information

Davis House Child Advocacy Center was opened in September, 2000 to provide a safe, child-friendly place for children who have been sexually abused to tell their story and receive needed services. The DHCAC provides a professionally trained forensic interviewer who allows a child to tell their story in their own words. The interview is recorded, so the child is only required to tell the story one time. The DVD of the interview is also allowed as evidence in criminal court proceedings. A Child and Family Advocate assists non-offending parents/caregivers in obtaining assistance they might need by providing contact information for community resources. A licensed Therapist trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) helps children find their way through the horror of abuse and then to hope and healing. DHCAC serves Hickman, Lewis Perry and Williamson Counties in Tennessee.
