Diaper insecurity. It’s a silent crisis happening in every community across the United States. Did you know that diapers are not covered by government assistance or food stamps? That parents without an adequate supply of diapers often aren't able to leave their children at childcare facilities, which means they can't go to work? It's a vicious cycle that forces low-income parents to make heart wrenching decisions. Covering South Florida is committed to creating awareness and advocating for systemic change while simultaneously breaking the cycle of diaper inequity by providing diapers to those who cannot afford them. Our passion is giving these children in South Florida the opportunity to shine. How do we do it? Simple. We provide P.E.A.C.E. – Partner, Educate, Advocate, Compassion and Elevate. We PARTNER with local non-profits who serve families that fall at or below the federal poverty level to help eliminate the diaper need in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. We EDUCATE the community on the importance of ending diaper need. We ADVOCATE for federal assistance to families to provide diapers. We provide COMPASSION as a dedicated resource to so many partners and families in our community. We work to ELEVATE the awareness of diaper need and provide families and children the opportunity to ELEVATE and shine.
