Deborah De Angelis, Attorney in Law, founded the DDA Law Firm in 2001, following her passion for copyright, entertainment law and environmental law. She specialised in this field taking an international perspective and focusing on digital development. DDA Law Firm became quickly recognised and distinguished due to its modern approach to copyright and entertainment law and for the attention given to the relationship with the client and the scientific research into each individual case. For years, DDA Law Firm has been addressing and solving problems deriving from the relationship between the slow evolution of the copyright and the constant progression of new technologies, that have changed and are still changing the access to the culture and the show business. Since 2008, DDA Law Firm has been the first to implement a system for their clients whereby the copyright holders release direct licenses for the performing rights in Italy – and since 2015 in France too – as an alternative to the collective societies’ system in Italy and Europe.
