De Las Mías

De Las Mías™ is a healthy lifestyle platform built for Latinas by Latinas. We offer the healthcare sector an enterprise health and wellness solution to engage their Latina patients and improve health outcomes. Our unique approach to healthy living is culturally connected, built on community, grounded in an evidence-based information and a proven behavior change model. De Las Mías means “you are of mine.” We believe that weight health is a result of knowledge, self-love, social support and empowerment. With the help of their Madrinas, Comadres, and friends, we lead Latinas on a path to a powerful, fun, and a supported life. Our content is tailored and culturally specific, encouraging Latinas to be their healthiest selves through our mutual love of family, food and language. Thanks to our terrific team of researchers, obesity experts, developers, digital strategists and health communications experts we received a highly competitive $1.5 million grant from SBIR-NCI to develop and test De Las Mías in a randomized trial. De Las Mías includes a bilingual app and website with engaging content and easy-to-use, interactive tools to help Latinas help themselves and their comadres, friends and family embark on a journey to a healthier life.
