Deadmans Quality Bench Rest Rifle Products and Accessories was founded by the owner talking to members of a local shooting range who wanted a South African bench rest manufacturer for rear rifle rest disciplines that can be used for the bench shooting fraternity.
In two weeks the owner created a genuine leather bench rest bag for the range members, and the rest was history....
Speaking of History, the company's name was decided in a 10 minute marketing and branding meeting
that the best name to accompany the product would be “DeadMans”, deadman’s is a
famous sitting position in Airrifle Field Target (FT) discipline. This position called “Deadman”
was invented by a South African sharp shooter named, Piet Breedt from Eloff in Mpumalanga.
Mr Piet Breedt has represented South Africa in his Green and Gold Springbok Colours for Air Rifle Shooting.
