Deaf Chef is a non-profit organisation, which is centred on an event for professionally trained deaf chefs from all over the world. Deaf Chef as a competition was created with the purpose of placing emphasis on Social Responsibility and sustainability within the field of Gastronomy. All while giving people with disabilities a new platform for personal growth and the opportunity to gain recognition. The founders of Deaf Chef Org, Simon Sheard and Henrik G. Sivgaard, both have great experience within the field of Social enterprises and NGO work, and aim to elevate the competition of trained deaf chefs within competitive Gastronomy to Worldwide recognition. The philosophy of Deaf Chef Org is to place true value on people and human resources, by giving all young people the opportunity to participate on equal terms and at the same time to produce incredibly great food.
