At Deaf Talks, we believe in the power of communication and aim to break stereotypes surrounding the deaf community. Our purposeful choice of the name "Deaf Talks" highlights the truth that being deaf does not equate to being dumb. Deaf individuals can talk, express themselves, and achieve anything just like their hearing counterparts. Through sign language, they communicate their ideas, thoughts, and experiences with the hearing world, fostering understanding and creating connections. Our work at Deaf Talks extends beyond mere advocacy. We have established ourselves as a multimedia platform, with a YouTube channel created by and for the deaf community. In just a year, we have reached 25k subscribers, and our efforts have been recognized by esteemed publications such as The Hindu, India's leading newspaper. Additionally, we actively engage with government bodies, advocating for recognition and acceptance of sign language as an official language in India. We strive to create a more inclusive society where all individuals, regardless of their hearing abilities, have equal opportunities.
