DealPerk.com was founded in 2009 by Albert Ko and Stephanie Vassantachart. The goal of the site was to provide marketing services to local merchants in Southern California. The site expanded rapidly within Orange County promptly after launching, resulting in over 5 figures in revenue within the first month of inception. The company continued to expand, selling services and products. Due to the rapid growth, the company was acquired by ScreaminMedia Corp in January 2011, which was then acquired by Local.com later in 2011. DealPerk.com has been featured in many media outlets, including OC Metro, OC Register, CNBC, TechZulu, and more.
