DEAN Foundation is a non-profit Medical Charitable Trust whose prime objective is to provide Palliative care for those suffering from incurable illnesses with competence and compassion and to end unnecessary suffering, indignity, and fear. DEAN Foundation is a place to go to, when someone you care, is faced with a life-threatening illness. It is a special place to go, if you need a friend, or to talk about problems in your life
Vision:
To create a robust environment that facilitates, nurtures and assists those with core competencies, in the provision of Hospice and Palliative Care services; to address unique challenges and opportunities; and to develop and sustain outstanding research and academic activity, political engagement and service delivery.
Mission:
- To care for those who are suffering from irreversible diseases like Cancer, AIDS, Diabetes and Neurological and End-stage Kidney diseases irrespective of age, sex, religion or economic background
- To relieve “Total Pain” by anticipating, preventing and treating suffering
- To help find meaning in the midst of life's struggles in an unconditional, non-judgmental environment
- To enhance the quality of life
- To support the family during illness and in their bereavement
Milestones Achieved:
As on January 31, 2019, we have treated and cared for over 13,471 adults, children and the elderly - suffering from advanced illnesses, since 1998 of whom 10,309 have been cancer patients. This includes 2,792 children between the age 0 - 12 years; 1,506 have been cancer patients.
All contributions to DEAN Foundation are eligible for exemption under Sec. 80 G of the I.T. Act
