de baes architects designs urban plans, buildings, environments, and construction systems that are grounded in craft, attuned to place, and holistically sustainable. Joris De Baes founded the studio in 2010 after working at OMA. Our practice is organised as a lab that fosters joint ventures with partners locally and worldwide. We are strongly motivated to make places of unlimited diversity, connectedness and relationships for this generation. Collaborating with architectural offices from around the world helps us achieve this goal as it facilitates exchange of knowledge and liberates us from stereotypes and dogmas. The practice is led by architect-engineer Joris De Baes, who has extensive international experiences from working at the world-renowned Office of Metropolitan Architecture and later as the principal of this office. Our works are widely recognized by various architectural publications, websites and exhibitions and have won numerous prizes.
