Owner and founder: Marc van der heijden In the middle of the 1980's I became more and more passionate, particularly about Dutch ceramics, partly triggered by the Ceramics book written by de renowned Mieke G. Schoot - Ledeboer. From then on I widened my interest as a collector. I discovered the applied arts, especially from the art deco and art nouveau period. As the years progressed my field of interest grew and I immersed myself in graphic art, glass art, design, but also in Asian art and antiques and collectables in general. After almost twenty years as a primary school teacher, due to the opportunities offered by the auction platform Catawiki, I turned this passion into my profession and I founded "Decaders". Shortly after, from early 2015 until mid-2016 I worked freelance as an auction consignor for the online auction house Catawiki. Besides being an art dealer and valuer I presently work as a freelance auction consignor and art broker for individuals and businesses.
