DECARB enables owners of end-of-life fossil fuel generation plants to exit or transition to less-carbon intensive solutions. Services range from C-Suite consulting to the outright acquisition of power generation and infrastructure assets, including the assumption of their liabilities. Asset owners consist primarily of Regulated and Municipal Utilities and Cooperatives, Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and Financial Owners throughout the United States and internationally. DECARB accelerates plant closure dates, thereby reducing future CO2 emissions; optimizes residual cashflows, while plants remain in operations; closes and remediates plants to regulatory standards; environmentally transfers site liabilities, relieving owners of long-term financial obligations; and repowers or redevelops sites with renewable generation solutions and new industrial uses, attractive to infrastructure investors.
