Decktec

Decktec is a privately owned Australian start up, situated in Newcastle, Australia. Our mission is to manufacture and distribute high quality products that ensure the longevity of decks. The innovative Deck Strip is the brain child of Peter Haas, a pioneer in the building industry since 1987. Decktec's Deck Strip acts as a space assemble, allowing for board movement and joist protection. It keeps boards aligned and in place, so that you can complete the task. Our Deck Strip has drastically evolved from the initial aluminum spacing strip prototype, in order to provide you with spacing stand ups for natural expansion and movement of timber boards, and a poly propylene profile that protects the joist from the elements. In 2016, after extensive, intensive study, and no less than 6 possible solutions, Peter arrived at the current Decktec polypropylene strip. Thus, Decktec was born.
