Declarations was founded for the purpose of providing recovery and rehabilitation services to those with the dual diagnosis of mental illness and developmental disabilities.
Mission Statement:
To provide and operate on a not-for-profit basis, programs that are dedicated to the
recovery and rehabilitation of individuals in need, which will provide material,
educational and emotional support to such individuals;
To advocate for the rights of self-reliance, personal dignity, and independence for all
individuals with disabilities;
To advance the understanding that even those with the most severe disabilities can
lead a productive and joyful life.
