About DEED Student-Led Project
DEED ( Discover, Engage, Explore, Develop) is a learning program exclusively designed for students aged 8 to 13, coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, focusing on the development of Cognitive and Social skills. The concept revolves around learning through play. DEED aims at the development of a child’s set of transferable skills that can be applied to real-life situations, all this through the use of board games. We understand that every student is different. Our program is designed to be adaptive so that everyone focuses on their individual needs and gets tailored feedback by volunteers at every step. By engaging in these activities with them, we will help the children gain communication skills and develop their personality, by taking time away from their gadgets. We aim to gradually but firmly develop “A habit to think” in the child using tools that are traditional but have a new age twist.
