- Interactive Marketing Specialist - Content Management System Developer (DeepWebCMS) - IT & Network Services DeepWeb was founded by Carsten Lex and Steffen Kraus in 1999 as DeepWeb GbR at the startup center of the Saarland University. In 2001, it was transferred into the Deep Web GmbH and Managed several medium and large sized online platforms like the portals of the Saarland, the websites of the Capital city Saarbruecken and a bunch of Saarbruecken-owned companies. Starting with RedDot implementations, Deep Web developed an own, java based content management system called DeepWebCMS with over 100 installations in Germany, Luxemburg and France. In 2005, Andreas Becker replaced Carsten Lex as partner and CEO, DeepWeb moved to the site of a former cole-mine called "Campus Göttelborn", near Saarbrücken and put more intensity on IT services for several customers. Since 2008, DeepWeb have had also a small office in Hamburg. DeepWeb ended its activities with the end of 2010 after it was rebranded into Deep Web GmbH & Co. KG one year before and after some phases of changing focuses on IT system house department for customers like UNESCO world cultural heritage site Voelklinger Huette. At the End of 2010, Andreas Becker and Michael Klaumann, the current partners and CEOs decided to sell both departments - system house and interactive agency - and setting DeepWeb out of business.
