At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, DEFEN95 released the world’s very first “soft” KN95 respirator face mask! While DEFEN95 specializes in protective face coverings, we are also an international medical equipment supplier and PPE manufacturer based out of Los Angeles, California. When Coronavirus made its way to America, the world went into panic mode. There was an extreme shortage of PPE, which left healthcare workers, police officers, first responders, and other essential workers with no other option but to work in unsafe environments. This is when we decided to ramp up our production of face masks, isolation gowns, nitrile gloves, and other PPE. We also worked hard and fast to expend our global contacts in order to make products readily available for our clients and other businesses in need. Soon after, when the government began enforcing face masks, we realized the general public did not have any access to high-quality face masks – as most were put on reserve for medical and healthcare professionals. Unfortunately, the bandanas and scarves most people had at home did not offer enough protection against the novel Coronavirus. We quickly launched our online retail store to help people of all ages and backgrounds receive the highest level of protective face masks, while allowing enough particulate respirators for distribution to those on the front lines.
