There are two strands to the Defenders business; Record Label and Management; THE RECORD LABEL strand of the business has had an impressive roster of releases over the past few years, ranging from Rap/Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Grime to UK House. Working alongside some of the largest promotion companies in the UK and distributed by international power house “Pias”, the Label has become a force to be reckoned with. Gaining much industry recognition for our remix work for charting acts such as Cash Money’s Jay Sean, Little Boots, Cheryl Cole, Alesha Dixon and Shontelle – the Label’s own Release Discography includes homegrown talent Maxsta, MC Versatile, Crazy Cousinz as well as international stars such as Maybach Music’s Omarion. THE MANAGEMENT and original strand of Defenders formed in 2000, and is home to acts such as UK House connoisseurs Crazy Cousinz and MC Versatile, the UK’s leading Dancehall artist “Stylo G”, Singboxer “Daniel Sheehy”, producer “Kodi Starr” (responsible for Dancehall hits such as Call Mi a Yardie) and others. www.defendersent.com
