At Defenna Foundation, founded by Serena Vu, our mission is to ensure that no one has to fight and survive alone. We are an international, survivor-led nonprofit harnessing the power of AI to connect individuals affected by sexual violence with the support, services, and community they deserve.
We work at the intersection of technology, trauma-informed care, and social impact—offering a holistic support system that spans prevention and education, immediate crisis response, and long-term healing. Through partnerships with nonprofits, service providers, and advocates, we’re building a safe, accessible, and empowering platform for survivors—especially international students, women, and underserved populations.
Serena's own journey as a survivor and international student fuels our vision: a world where survivors are believed, supported, and never left behind.
