At Defined Media we believe that anybody, with the right training, can achieve whatever they want to achieve. I’m sure that when Jeremy Thompson, one of our media trainers, set out on his journalistic career, he never thought he’d be the lead presenter on Sky News for 20 years, or that he’d report on 6 US Presidential campaigns, meet Nelson Mandela, or win 3 BAFTA’s. But through hard work and endeavour, that is what Jeremy has achieved. So, alongside Jeremy, Andy Finn and Chris Edwards, with whom I worked at BSKYB, we thought we’d put all our experience together and offer you a Media Training day, a Media Training day with a Sports journalist and a Media Training and Journalism day, with Jeremy Thompson. Collectively, we have worked at some of the biggest companies in the media world, the BBC, ITN, Sky Sports, Sky News and IMG. We have thousands of hours of live broadcast and studio experience. From Presidential campaigns to Olympics and Ryder Cups; script and speech writing; presenting and reporting on live news and sports. The experiences are ours to share, tailored in one day courses, all aimed at getting you where you want to be, with some fun, humour and a few real-life stories thrown in.
