DeHeng Civil Code is a dedicated Dutch law firm with deep Chinese roots that specializes in Dutch corporate law. DeHeng Civil Code can assist clients from all over the world in M&A work (due diligence, transfer requirements, legal opinions) and corporate work (incorporations, legal mergers, share transfers, issuances, joint ventures, partnerships) governed by Dutch law or with Dutch law implications. Currently, clients are corporations or institutions from the Netherlands, China, the USA, Japan, Oman, Italy, France, Turkey and Great Britain. As specials, we also work on bespoke files, including advice to governmental bodies on drafting (corporate) legislation, or advice on practical implications of setting up agencies for Dutch corporations.
Our name, DeHeng Civil Code, refers to our Chinese roots and mission statement: we are as part of a global law firm, the Dutch connection that advises on Dutch civil law issues (which are codified in the Dutch Civil Code) on the one hand and on the other hand the way we work with our clients is civilised (as in: a civilised amount of billable hours per case).
