دير الزور مالها إلا أهلها“Deir ez-Zor has no one but her people” is a documentation initiative led by three architects. Headed by me, Lamis Bakjaji, It focuses on recording historical buildings using photogrammetry to preserve memory and raise the voice of the local community in shaping the future of their city.
This is a part of Deir ezzor Heritage Library to considered as a mini data base for any reconstruction plan
The Deir ez-Zor Heritage Library, on the other hand, is a much broader project—Lamis Bakjaji's initiative. It aims to study the city as a whole:
* Analyzing the urban fabric and architectural identity
* Strengthening the connection between the city and surrounding archaeological landmarks
* Promoting sustainable, locally-rooted solutions using natural resources
* Discussing the return ways of displaced residents
* Advocating for inclusive, community-centered heritage preservation
