DEITY offers diversity, equity, and inclusion training programs rooted in anti-bias/anti-racist principals. DEITY operates on the belief that implicit bias and racism exist and are pervasive, and that racism is a global pandemic; we do not debate this. DEITY’s sessions focus on understanding how White dominant culture oppresses and persists in America’s most important institutions, including social justice programs and businesses, and solutions. We acknowledge and normalize the idea that everyone holds biases. We address white fragility and accountability in acknowledging and empathizing with the Black lived experience through action. We provide spaces for Black, Indigenous People of Color to be affirmed in their identities and to work toward healing and empowerment. We welcome discomfort and demonstrate how to create a brave space where individuals can disagree productively, acknowledge if harm is inflicted, and talk about it in a way that leads to transformation.
